Shop Attic is an online marketplace operated by Shop Attic, registered in England and Wales with a registered address at Postal | Correspondence Address (mail and small packets letter box size) Shop Attic Unit 162359, PO Box 7169, Poole, BH15 9EL.

We provide a platform that allows private individuals to list items for sale and other users to purchase those items. We are not a party to any contract between buyers and sellers.

2. How the Marketplace Works

Our platform acts as an intermediary only.

• Sellers list items
• Buyers purchase items directly from sellers
• Any contract for sale is formed solely between the buyer and the seller
• We do not own, inspect, or sell items listed on the platform

By placing an order, buyers confirm that they understand:

• The seller is a private individual
• Consumer cancellation rights do not apply
• Refunds are handled by the seller
• Items are purchased at the buyer's own discretion

5. Seller Responsibilities

Sellers must:

• Own the item they are selling
• Accurately describe items and include clear images
• Comply with UK law
• Dispatch items within the stated timeframe
• Communicate honestly with buyers
• Sellers are solely responsible for their listings and transactions

6. Prohibited Items & Content

Listings must not include:

• Illegal or unsafe items
• Counterfeit goods
• Stolen property
• Content that infringes intellectual property
• Offensive or misleading material

We reserve the right to remove listings or suspend accounts.

7. Pricing, Fees & Payments

• Sellers set their own prices
• Platform fees or commissions are disclosed before checkout
• Payments are processed by third-party payment providers
• Where applicable, funds may be temporarily held to assist with dispute resolution

8. Returns & Refunds

• Refunds are not guaranteed
• Refunds are at the seller's discretion unless an item is significantly misdescribed
• We do not force refunds unless required by law
• We may assist in disputes but do not guarantee outcomes

9. Disputes & Misrepresentation

Buyers may raise disputes if:

• An item is not received
• An item is significantly not as described
• A seller is unresponsive

Disputes are handled through our Dispute Resolution Center where admins can review cases and issue refunds through Stripe.

10. Account Suspension & Termination

We may suspend or terminate accounts if users:

• Breach these Terms
• Engage in fraud
• Abuse the platform or other users

11. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law:

• We are not responsible for transactions between buyers and sellers
• We are not liable for item quality, delivery, or suitability
• Our liability is limited to fees paid to us

13. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
